Around 150 skiers in the French Alps were rescued after being trapped for several hours when their ski lift broke down on Sunday.

The 45-year-old German auto racing legend suffered serious head injuries on 29 December when he fell and hit the right side of his head on a rock off the side of a demarcated slope in Meribel
Patients who suffer from such injuries and undergo treatment are usually woken up in two weeks — but Schumacher's slow recovery has led to speculation that he may consigned to a coma for the rest of his life.
The 45-year-old Schumacher has been in a medically induced coma since last week, after he hit his head on a rock.
According to Daily Mail, in 2010, the seven-time Formula One World Champion admitted that he had made a will for the first time, telling a German magazine: "Yes, I have made my testament because I am a family man.
Schumacher, who turned 45 on Friday, is the most successful Formula One driver of all time with 91 race victories.
Schumacher's condition remains critical but stable, manager Sabine Kehm wrote in an e-mail Saturday. He has been in a medically induced coma since Sunday, when he fell while skiing and struck his head on a rock.
Schumacher currently faces the toughest fight of his career. Lying in an induced coma in a hospital in France following a skiing accident, Schumacher, according to his doctors is, quite simply, “fighting for his life.”
While there is a slight improvement, doctors refused to speculate on Schumacher's future.
"We can say that his condition is life-threatening," Jean-Francois Payen, head anaesthetician at the CHU hospital in the eastern French city of Grenoble, told a news conference. "For the moment we cannot say what Michael Schumacher's future is," he added.
Doctors say they do not intend a second brain operation at the moment.
There will be an update on his condition at around 3.30 pm IST.
