After successfully completing the 26-mile London marathon, Fauja Singh, the world’s oldest marathoner, has decided to retire.
Fauja Singh, aged 101, was refused by the Guinness Book of World Records to be recognised as the world’s oldest marathoner since he doesn’t have a birth certificate.
According to the Wikipedia page on Fauja Singh, he was born in Indian in 1911 and moved to London in 1992. He ran his first marathon in 2000 at the age of 89.
