This is the fifth consecutive win for Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad (RGS) in this season of IPL. On the other hand, this is the first match Kolkata Knight Riders have lost while chasing in this IPL.

Jackson gets his first boundary of the innings with a slash towards the extra-cover boundary.

Siraj, who got the wicket of Narine early in the innings, returns for his third over. Siraj then gets the big wicket of Uthappa with a slower ball that the latter miscues straight to Warner at long-off. Siraj then greets new batsman Sheldon Jackson with a bouncer. Three runs and a wicket off this over, and the game appears to be a lost cause for KKR at the moment.

David Warner becomes the second batsman to score 1000-plus runs at Hyderabad (RGS) in IPL after Shikhar Dhawan.
