After all the furore over whether he will be the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, is the party’s poll campaign chief Narendra Modi not interested in the post?
While attending at a Teacher’s Day function at a school in Gujarat, Modi was asked by a student if he would be the next Prime Minister of the country.
“My intention is not to be something but to work,” Modi reportedly replied, according to a CNN-IBN report.
He was quoted as saying, “In either case people of Gujarat have chosen me to serve till 2017 and that is my priority."
The Gujarat chief minister’s statement comes even as he faces fire over the resignation letter given by suspended encounter cop DG Vanzara. Tthe RSS is reported to be pushing for him to be declared as the party’s PM candidate immediately.
