He said displaying BJP’s election symbol ‘Lotus’ and making a speech after casting his vote in Gandhinagar is a “big violation” of electoral law.

Modi, the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, landed in a soup with the Election Commission ordering the Gujarat administration to file a complaint or FIR against him for violating poll laws. It wanted compliance report by 1800 hrs today.

Another General Secretary Shakeel Ahmed said that Modi is a “habitual and serial violator” of the model code.

He said that a wrong impression will go around if the Commission failed to take action against the BJP PM candidate.
