Viral Video: Cirque Du Soleil trailer is a feast of colours
The Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away trailer says the film's all set to be a stunner. Visually at least.
A flamboyant performing arts company that combines the opulent and the near-fantastical to come up with stunning circus productions and James Cameron, who has made jaw-dropping visuals his second nature, are the forces behind Andrew Adamson’s Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away. It’s fair to not expect anything less than visual fireworks.
The 3D film, which shares the name of the troupe itself, has just come out with the first trailer. Productions of the decades-old group have witnessed more than 30 film adaptations, mostly for the small screen.
Most Cirque Du Soleil (Circus of the Sun) productions are riveting combinations of street arts, circus, music, lavish set designs where the props are changed during the performances by the artists themselves.
If the trailers are anything to go by, Adamson not only shows the troupe’s performances as they are, he also draws from the semi-fantastical content of their productions to spin a story around the ordinary and the extraordinary.

Several frames of the film also seem inspired by the sheer visual brilliance of the troupe’s performance.
Question, however, remains if there’s going to be a gripping enough story to bolster the visual extravagance. Given that the film comes from the director of Shrek and Shrek 2, the room for doubt, is rather small.
