 "Setback for Gadkari, Nagpur court rejects closure report in Yogita case")
In a setback for BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, the Nagpur Sessions Court today rejected the closure report filed by the state CID in the Yogita Thakre murder case.
Both, the CID and the Nagpur Police, have described the cause of death as accidental, while Yogita’s parents allege that she was sexually abused and murdered.
The court has taken the contentions raised by Yogita Thakre’s father as a private complaint.
In May 2009, Yogita Thakre, a seven-year-old girl was found murdered under mysterious circumstances. Her body was found in a car in the residential compound of Gadkari in Nagpur.
This is the second time the state CID has filed a closure report in the case. It had earlier filed a report in December 2011, which was also rejected by the court.
