The 17-year-old boy, accused in Pune Porsche crash case, allegedly asked people not to create an issue and promised to pay damages immediately after knocking down two bike-borne software engineers with his speeding car in Kalyani Nagar on May 19.
An auto-rickshaw driver, who was there at the accident spot and was saved in the nick of time, told News18 that there were three boys in the car that hit the bike.
“All of them were drunk. After the accident, they got off the car and asked people not to create an issue. They also promised to pay damages immediately,” auto-rickshaw driver Ameen said.
The teen accused was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and did not have a driving licence as he is a minor. He is a son of renowned real estate developer Vishal Agarwal.
Boys were taken in two different police vans
One of the three boys who were in the car, fled soon after the crowd started gathering at the accident spot.
“Later he came back, and police took them along. Several police vans had reached the spot. First van took two boys, then another van came and took the boy who had fled,” Ameen said.

Ameen was asked if there was a driver in the Porsche Taycan, as claimed by Agarwal family, to which he said: “There was no driver present in the car, and no other cars along with them. The boys would have fled had the airbags not come off.”

The temporary registration certificate of the Porsche car involved in the accident has been cancelled by the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO). A report regarding the same has also been sent to Bengaluru Central RTO, where the original temporary registration was done. They will now initiate the de-registration process.
