Delhi is a city that has seen immense change, but thankfully some things have endured the test of time.

It is often said that the only permanent thing about life is change. And in 100 years, India’s capital Delhi has seen a lot of change. Yet in the midst of all that flux, some things stay the same — reminding us of a time gone by, and reaffirming that sometimes you just can’t improve a good thing! Delhi is a unique example of a city where the old coexists with the new.

The towering structure of the Qutub Minar stands comfortably amidst the ultra modern South Delhi, Humayun’s tomb is a fixture in Nizamuddin, and of course just a ten minute metro ride from bustling Connaught place, you find old Delhi with its narrow twisting lanes, where 16th century architecture is covered by the facades of shops that sell everything from wedding cards to sweets.
