Blame it either on Vaastu Shastra or ‘some officials’ but the fact is a wall of the Karnataka Vidhana Soudha was brought down to make larger working space available for the state’s Environment Minister Ramanath Rai.
“The demolition has left gaping holes in a heritage structure and raging questions on why a minister was allowed to have his way”— reported CNN-IBN .

The damage to the structure fumed the Opposition who were left wondered whether it was the Vaastu norms or some irresponsible officials that led to this demolition.
“I did not ask them to bring down a wall. I asked for a larger room, some officials are responsible for this,” Rai said in his defence.
