If you have checked your Facebook in the last few days, chances are your timeline has been inundated with the Indian tricolour. The last few days have seen more national flag on Facebook than during Independence Day and it is all because of ‘Digital India’. [caption id=“attachment_2448600” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook profile picture.[/caption] The topic of Digital India has divided opinions on social media like few other have. While several people are all for PM Modi’s initiative, including the top tech gurus at Silicon Valley, many other feels that it is connected to internet.org and thereby against net neutrality. It all started when Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg added the tricolour filter to his display picture ahead of Modi’s visit and the PM followed suit. Subsequently, the triclour filter was the new rainbow filter on Facebook and a majority of Indians rushed to change their profile pictures. However, soon there were doubts about how it was not a good idea and that Facebook was using the data of those who changed their pictures to garner support for internet.org. Facebook soon clarified that the filter had no ulterior motives. But while the doubts over the filer remain, it certainly made for good troll fodder. Here are the most innovative and hilarious memes on social media about Digital India.

Thank you Facebook. I really needed that Digital India nonsense; I'd never have unfriended so many idiots at once, otherwise.
