Additional Sessions Judge Reetesh Singh allowed Delhi Police to quiz Subhan and his aide till 19 August. The court on Wednesday remanded Pakistani national Arshad Khan to nine-day police custody in the case.

Arshad was lodged in a Kolkata jail in connection with the kidnapping of shoe baron Partha Roy Burman in 2001. He was brought to the court in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“To unearth the conspiracy of executing terror strikes in Delhi and neighbouring areas and to know the penetration of the LeT in Delhi and other parts, the three accused (Subhan, Asahbuddin and Arshad) will have to be confronted with one another,” the police said while seeking their custody.

Subhan and his aide were brought to the court in pursuance of a warrant issued against them in the case. Advocate Akram Khan, appearing for the duo, opposed the police plea.

Sources said Abdul Subhan’s name surfaced during the interrogation of two youths from Mewat in Haryana, who were arrested in December last year.
