LSG acquired Rishabh Pant for a whopping Rs 27 crore, making him the most expensive player in the league’s history. They also made some other key acquisitions in the form of Aiden Markram, David Miller, Mitchell Marsh, Avesh Khan, and Akash Deep. But none of these big changes helped them win their elusive IPL title last season.
The side lost back-to-back matches towards the backend of the league stage, which cost them a place in the knockouts. LSG will look to bounce back in the upcoming season as they make some crucial changes to the squad ahead of the auction. Ravi Bishnoi, Akash Deep, and David Miller have been released.
LSG’s list of retained players: Rishabh Pant (c), Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Ayush Badoni, Aiden Markram, Matthew Breetzke, Himmat Singh, Mitchell Marsh, Shahbaz Ahmed, Arshin Kulkarni, Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan, M Siddharth, Digvesh Rathi, Prince Yadav, Akash Singh
