India vs Australia 3rd ODI Live Score: India and Australia will play the third and final ODI of their three-match series at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25. Australia have already sealed the series 2-0 after winning the first two games in Perth and Adelaide, so it’s going to be a dead rubber.
However, India will take this as a chance to turn things around in the ongoing white-ball series and take the momentum into the five-match T20I contest, scheduled to begin later this month. The Shubman Gill-led side will aim for a consolation win at the SCG, hoping to hand the hosts their first upset.
Will India play Kuldeep Yadav at SCG?
The big question in everyone’s mind is whether the Indian team management will play Kuldeep Yadav in the series finale. His exclusion from the first two ODIs, where India failed to close out games, has drawn criticism from experts and fans alike. India went with just two specialist bowlers and decided to field all-rounders to extend their batting depth. But many felt Kuldeep deserved to play from the start.
India’s batting has also flopped in this series, with the top order failing to score runs. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s return to international cricket has not been ideal, with the latter registering two consecutive ducks. Even though Rohit managed to score a half-century in the second ODI, his performance has received mixed reviews for being too slow.
Gill has also failed to make an impact, while Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have been inconsistent. It will be interesting to see what changes India make for the series finale - whether they will bring in another full-time bowler by tinkering with their batting depth or will continue to play the same eleven as they did in the last match.
