T20 World Cup 2026: Full list of fixtures for all 20 teams, venues and match timings

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule: India and Pakistan continue to be placed in the same group in multi-nation events despite political tensions between the two South Asian neighbours as well as heated exchanges on the field in recent meetings. The two arch-rivals, after all, are set to face each other in the group stage of the ICC T20 World Cup , which will be co-hosted by defending champions India and former winners Sri Lanka in February and March next year.

As was the arrangement for the ICC Women’s World Cup recently, India and Pakistan will be facing each other in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This is due to the ‘Hybrid Model’ agreement between the BCCI and PCB that was finalised ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy earlier this year, which mandates that the two fierce rivals will be facing each other only on neutral turf in upcoming global and continental meetings.

India and Pakistan will be facing each other on 15 February in Colombo, and it will be the first time the two nations face each other in men’s cricket since their three heated showdowns in the Asia Cup in the UAE. The Suryakumar Yadav-led Men in Blue had won each of those three meetings and remained unbeaten en route to their ninth Asian title – their second in the T20 format.

The 20 teams that will be in action in the upcoming mega event have been divided into four groups of five teams each, with USA, Netherlands and Namibia included alongside India and Pakistan in Group A.

Co-hosts Sri Lanka are in Group B along with 2021 champions Australia, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman. Two-time champions West Indies and England are placed in Group C alongside Bangladesh, Nepal, and debutants Italy.

South Africa, the team that finished runners-up last year, have been placed in Group D alongside former runners-up New Zealand and 2024 semi-finalists Afghanistan, as well as the UAE and Canada.

The semi-finals for the upcoming tournament will be held in either Kolkata or Colombo, depending on Pakistan’s situation, and Mumbai. The title decider on March 8 will take place in Ahmedabad or Colombo, again based on Pakistan’s qualification.
