If you thought Adele’s Hello cannot get any better, wait till you hear Sir David Attenborough narrate the opening sequence.

On BBC Radio 1 host Greg James’ show, the veteran British broadcaster lent his voice to the video’s first few scenes. And it was enough to raise our experience of watching Adele drive a car and take off dust covers to a far new high.

Attenborough is best known for his nature documentaries and the narration is styled in that fashion, with Adele being likened to an animal on the hunt.

“Battling against strong winds and weight of expectations, she is convinced that now is the time to strike,” Attenborough explains.

Then comes the setback.

“She hasn’t upgraded her handset since 1999. #Flipphone,” he intones in reference to the oddity of Adele using outdated technology in 2015.

He then goes on to describe the Adele in the video as a “cool customer” unfazed by the glitches in her plan.

But the best part is the last line: “We are about to witness one of the great phenomena of the natural world,” he explains. “Hello.”

Oh my.
