Watch: Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai cast argues over titles for its new season in this hilarious video
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai will start rolling on Hotstar in May. But they need a li'll help from its viewers.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai is all set to return as a web series. But there is just one roadblock — they cannot zero in on the title of the new season. And the Sarabhais have left it to the viewers to solve that problem.
HotStar posted a video which transported us back to the years when the Sarabhais seemed like our next door neighbours. All the characters — Monisha, Maya, Rosesh, Indravardhan, Sahil, Dushyant and Madhu Sudhan — have not only effortlessly slipped back into the skins of their characters but also cracked perfect comic timing as a collective unit.
Maya, played by Ratna Pathak Shah, has aged gracefully, though with a few strands of grey hair, as pointed out by Indravardhan, played by Satish Shah. Maya retorts by saying that she is going 'natural'. Her umpteen adverbs of dubbing Monisha as middle class are stacked up in her dictionary as she terms Monisha's idea of naming the new season Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai: Masala Maar Ke as 'gastronomically middle class'.
Then, there are the gimmicks of Rosesh, Dushyant (played by filmmaker Deven Bhojani) and Madhu Sudhan, who have recreated their respective signature quirks of irresistibly lame poetry, straight-faced gizmo demonstrations and the annoying deafness to even the most silent of conversations.
In the end, Sahil, played by Sumit Raghavan, sums it up for the viewers when he requests them to suggest an appropriate title for the new season of the show so that his family can peacefully move on from this argument and start with the first episode instead.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai is set to start rolling on HotStar in May.
