Vishnu Vishal reveals why he asked Aamir Khan to name his and Jwala Gutta's daughter: 'He helped us find IVF...'

The megastar of the entertainment industry, Aamir Khan, who has portrayed roles of a saviour many times, turned out to be the real one for Tamil star Vishnu Vishal and his wife and badminton player Jwala Gutta. The Sitaare Zameen Par star stood by them in their tough phase and played a special role in their happiness by naming their newborn daughter, Mira.

In a recent interview, Vishnu Vishal revealed why Aamir Khan holds a special place in their lives and why he named their baby. Both actors have known each other for years as their friendship began in 2023 when Zeenat Hussain, Aamir’s mother, was going under treatment in Chennai. At that period, Khan reached out to Vishnu for help for finding a homestay for his family.

“He was in production for a movie then, and they needed me to find a home stay instead of a hotel for 2-3 months so his team would find enough space to work. I remember arranging villas for them to stay, and we became friends from there,” said Vishnu, recalling his friendship with Aamir while talking to HT.

Vishnu, who calls Aamir “the greatest gift God has given”, revealed that their bond grew deeper when AK stepped in to help Vishnu and Jwala during the most emotional chapter of their lives. The Ratsasan actor revealed that he and his wife had struggled to conceive and almost decided to adopt a child, but Aamir Khan came to their rescue and recommended a Mumbai-based fertility specialist.

“He helped us find a good doctor in Mumbai for IVF treatment for Jwala. And when she became pregnant, it made us very emotional because she had almost given up… he brought back joy into our lives. He treated us like nothing less than family,” said Vishnu.

“Jwala was in Mumbai with his family for almost ten months, and his mom and sister took care of her personally. They treated her so well. That bond has now evolved into a close friendship,” he added.

“When Jwala became pregnant, I told Aamir he should be the one to name our baby, because he was the one to give us hope,” recalled Vishnu.
