Varun Dhawan shares photo from sets of My Name is Khan: 'Film practically changed my life'
As Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer My Name is Khan clocks nine years, the team is celebrating the film's anniversary by sharing throwback pictures on social media. Long before Dhawan made his debut on silver screen, he was one of the assistant directors on the film. To celebrate its nine years, the actor took to Twitter to share a behind-the-scenes moment from the movie.
The picture features Varun's Student Of The Year co-star Sidharth Malhotra, Kalank director Abhishek Varman and Karan Johar. In his post, Varun Dhawan wrote that the film "practically changed" his life.

Filmmaker Karan Johar gave Varun his Bollywood break in the 2012 film Student Of The Year, for which he received a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. Johar also recalled some of the memories from the sets of My Name is Khan:

Varun Dhawan rose to prominence by starring roles in the romantic films opposite Alia Bhatt in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath ki Dulhania (2017). He also received critical acclaim for playing an avenger in the crime thriller Badlapur (2015). He earned an Filmfare nomination for Best Actor for portraying an aimless man coping with loss in the drama October (2018).
