After Shraddha Kapoor buys Lamborghini, her 'Save Aarey' pictures goes viral; netizens react

Shraddha Kapoor’s recent extravagant purchase on the occasion of Dussehra made headlines as the actress got a sleek red Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica valued at Rs 4 crore for herself. As the congratulatory messages poured in for the actress, another section of people started trolling her for contradictory approach. The actress was embroiled in the controversies and why? Well, the digital uproar against the Bollywood sensation is the result of her active role in protests against the Metro car shed’s construction in the Aarey forest belt of Mumbai back in 2019. As Shraddha Kapoor brought Lamborghini home, her images from the protests resurfaced on social media. The picture showcased the actress wearing a ‘Save Aarey’ t-shirt. Some internet users viewed it as her hypocrisy. It is because the ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is 7 kilometers per litre of diesel. Given the conditions of Mumbai’s traffic, the effective fuel efficiency of the car is reduced by 3 to 4 kilometers per litre. This led the Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkaar actress to face the wrath of the internet users as they started trolling her left right and centre. A fan called her ‘Indian version of Greta Thunberg’ and wrote, “Meet climate activist @ShraddhaKapoor She wanted to block the Metro Carshed in Aarey. That Metro which was suppose to serve common working class of Mumbai & ease their travelling hussles. Today, she bought a 4 Cr Lamborghini for herself.
