Ranbir Kapoor reveals he shall take a six-month break from acting, here's why

While interacting with his fans on Zoom, Ranbir Kapoor has revealed he shall take a break of six months from acting. Reason? He wishes to spend some quality with his daughter Raha. Talking about his daughter, the actor said, “She is crawling. She is recognising. She is giving so much love, and she is trying to speak words like Pa and Ma. It’s a beautiful time to be around her, and I am going to cherish this forever.” On being called toxic Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been one of our favourite Bollywood couples. Be it in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani or Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, the actor duo have been acing their roles with perfection. While fans keep waiting for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s next releases, a section of people also like to criticise the power couple over certain aspects. Speaking on similar lines, Ranbir Kapoor recently opened up on how he deals with negativity around him. What Ranbir Kapoor said The actor, who will be seen next in Animal, addressed the trolling during his fan interaction in a Zoom session. “I am not on social media so I don’t have to need to deal with it which is a great thing. But I feel negativity is very important especially if you are an artist and if you have some work out there I think both need to exist because then that creates a balance,” he said. Ranbir went on to add that there are times when many opinions are made about an actor which are untrue. He mentioned that he doesn’t own this image of him which is created by the characters he play or media. “It’s owned by the public, it’s owned by people who like my work or dislike my work and they are allowed to say anything about me as long as they give my work a chance you know as long as I can prove to them as an actor and that has always been my focus is just to act,” he said. https://twitter.com/RKs_Tilllast/status/1716785146433818645 Ranbir Kapoor on toxic masculinity Talking about toxic masculinity, Ranbir drew reference of he being tagged as ’toxic partner’ a few weeks back. He said, “Recently, I was reading some article about being toxic and something relating to some statement I made and I understand this. And I am on the side of the people who are fighting for the toxic masculinity, if they use me as the face of it, it’s fine because their fight is bigger than just me feeling bad about them having an opinion about what I said.” The actor’s statement came after his wife Alia Bhatt’s ’lipstick’ remark took the internet by storm. Alia had mentioned how Ranbir asked her to wipe her lipstick off as he doesn’t like wearing one. Social media users were quick to label him as a ‘red flag’ for dictating terms to his partner. Ranbir Kapoor on work front Ranbir Kapoor’s next, Animal, will feature Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action thriller will hit theatres on 1 December.
