The 2014 Academy Awards had all the glitz and glamour that one has come to associate with Hollywood's premier star-studded event. Alfonzo Cuaron's galactic thriller Gravity predictably swept the night with seven Oscars including winning best director, best cinematography and best score. The night's upsets came in the three big categories - Matthew McConaughey beat favourites Leonardo DiCapiro and Chiwetel Ejiofor to win Best Actor for Dallas Buyers Club; Sandra Bullock lost out to Cate Blanchett in the Best Actress category and 12 Years a Slave scooped Best Film, beating the likes of Gravity and the Wolf Of Wall Street.

Here are some of the Oscar-worthy moments of the evening that will definitely demand re-watching:

When host Ellen DeGeners won the 'selfie' game forever by orchestrating this gem with Hollywood's biggest and brightest and had Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch and Brad Pitt photobomb her trying to snap a second 'selfie' with 12 Years a Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor:

Oops, not again! Jennifer Lawrence tripped on the red carpet much to her amusement. She had tripped last year as well while going up the stage to collect her Best Actress award.

When Ellen decided it was time for a pizza break and brought in boxes of steaming pies, and recruited Brad Pitt to hand out paper plates:

She then borrowed Pharell Williams' giant hat and passed it around to collect money for the bill:

When Grammy-award winner Pharell Williams got the likes of Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Lupita Nyong'o to dance along:

When Idina Menzel sang Let It Be from Frozen, awarded the best animated picture of the night. (Warning: Goosebumps):

When Mathew McConaughey was declared the best actor in a leading role for 'Dallas Buyers Club', and he hugged and got a kiss from fellow nominee Leonardo DiCaprio before going on stage to to receive his trophy. Watch this for Leo-- He made our hearts go awwww..

When director and producer Steve McQueen jumped after accepting the Oscar for best picture for his work in '12 Years a Slave'. Watch this till the end, you will be smiling too!
