Panga: First schedule of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's sports drama, featuring Kangana Ranaut, Richa Chadha, wraps up

The first shooting schedule of filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga has wrapped up. Tiwari on Thursday shared a photograph of the entire crew of the film and captioned it: “And this love will only continue to grow as we wrap our first schedule.”

Featuring stars like Kangana Ranaut, Richa Chadha , Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi and Jassie Gill, Panga revolves around female kabaddi players and the trials they face.

The first schedule of the film was shot in Bhopal. The screenplay and dialogues for Panga have been penned by Nikhil Mehrotra and Tiwari. The film, which is going to be produced by Fox Star Studios, is set to hit theatres in 2019.

As reported earlier , Panga is Richa and Tripathi’s eight film together. They had starred in movies like Gangs of Wasseypur and Masaan.

“I’m excited to be joining the team… Panga is a very exciting project for me as it’s unlike anything I have done before. I have personally always wanted to be a part of a sports film,” Richa said in a statement.

Tiwari, who announced the news of the project in August, has films like Nil Battey Sannata and Bareilly Ki Barfi to her credit.
