Renowned Indian matchmaker Sima Taparia, best known for Netflix’s Indian Matchmaking, will feature in the upcoming episode of Temptation Island India, sharing valuable insights with new couples. With her vast experience, Sima is expected to bring a unique perspective, adding depth to the romantic stories unfolding on the island. The show is hosted by Mouni Roy and Karan Kundrra. Sharing her perspective on how couples can sustain a lasting relationship, Sima said, “Ego stands out as the main reason for failed relationships in today’s time. If ego takes precedence and there’s a lack of respect for your partner, problems are inevitable. Setting aside ego and communicating with full respect are crucial for a relationship to endure.” She further added, “Two other vital components of a successful relationship are adjustment and compromise. Compromise kaha nahi karte, be it work or in relationships, it’s very important to compromise.”
On people seeking divorce as ‘egoistic’
Sima Taparia , known for her controversial comments, has often been targeted for her contentious remarks and problematic perspectives in the past. While demonstrating the same in a recent interview, the OTT star engaged in discussions on various subjects including ‘divorce’, where she branded people seeking separation as ‘egoistic’ and lacking patience.
She further stated, “Those I have matched haven’t divorced yet. But if it happens, it is because they lack patience, flexibility, are egoistic, and don’t want to adjust. That’s how problems are created. They lack values of giving, sharing and caring.”
On highly educated women
Sima Taparia went on to criticise the ‘highly educated and independent women’ for refusing to conform to others’ expectations. She continued that people are getting separated “because there is no patience, no adjustment, egoism, ladkiya itna padh likh lete hai toh they say why should I listen to anybody (Highly educated girls don’t listen to anybody)”.
