The world of law can be hugely stressful and sometimes boring. But not in the case of Netflix’s Maamla Legal Hai Season 2. The show has evolved as V.D. Tyagi (Ravi Kishan) comes face-to-face with the reality of being a judge from Patparganj. This season is not just about humour but much more emotional as Tyagi is no more just a lawyer, and he is duty-bound to take big decisions. Though it is a comedy, this Netflix show is incredibly rooted and relevant.
In Season 2 of Maamla Legal Hai , our very lovable lawyers of Patparganj Court bring bizarre cases, odd clients, and personal drama messier than the mundane paperwork. The best thing about shows on digital platforms is that it is not about stars, but about craftsmen where each and every character is important and most importantly there is no hero or heroine. Courtroom drama could never have been this entertaining without the entire cast of Maamla Legal Hai Season 2. This season there are 3 new entrants, Kusha Kapila , Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Anubhav Singh Bassi.
The director has made sure that no matter how big the cases are, nothing must feel like an issue. The storytelling is undoubtedly witty and intelligent. Justice may be blind sometimes, but at Patparganj District Court it definitely has a sense of humour. Season 1 was just about court room humours, but Season 2 apart from its fresh dose of chaos shows that being a judge is not an easy job especially when the final decision comes from a position of power.
As a judge you have the right to take the final decision, but you too are constantly being judged in the process and sometimes decisions taken by you may not be kind, but it is for the greater wellbeing of the society. So, ‘No more Tareekh pe Tareekh’, just get ready to watch Netflix’s Maamla Legal Hai Season 2.
If you loved the eccentricity and chaos of Season 1 just the way I did, you are surely going to love Season 2 for its sharper humour while staying rooted in the everyday madness as the cases get all the more bizarre. The last episode is the most emotional bit when V.D. Tyagi (Ravi Kishan) takes the toughest decision after consulting his father. Each and every case is serious, but the approach is unconventional and that’s what makes Maamla Legal Hai Season unique and mind you each of the cases are based on real incidents.
Games
View AllV.D. Tyagi may have finally secured the judge ki kursi (judge’s chair), but how tough is the throne is the big question. The lawyers of Patparganj are back, tackling everything from electrifying gates and sting operations that sting a little too hard, to secret love affairs that threaten to shake up the courtroom in more ways than one — all while juggling interpersonal dynamics that can spark a fire of their own. If you thought Maamla Legal Hai was light-hearted, Season is going to be heavy. Not disclosing the story, but the end scene when Ravi Kishan looks into the eyes of a 24-year-old criminal and passes the judgemnet of ’to be hanged till death’, could bring a lump to the throat of a worst scoffer.
Just like Season 1 of Netflix’s Maamla Legal Hai in Season 2 as well, nobody is trying to over shine anybody. Though Ravi Kishan is the main lead, everybody has an equally important role to play. Each character is a hero in its own right and Maamla Legal Hai in Season 2 is indeed an enjoyable ride. And it is so much fun to see the camaraderie among collegues despite the fact that they are all competing with each other, but in a healthy manner. Netflix Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 truly deserves every bit of your time; binge-watch it or sit through all the eight-episodes at one go, just the way I did, but don’t give it a miss!
