KGF 3: Yash's much-awaited film to release in 2025, Hombale Films to make official announcement soon

In an exciting news for fans, Hombale Films is gearing up for the release of the third part of the Kannada blockbuster KGF 3 in 2025. According to the studio spokesperson, based on sources close to India Today, the third part starring Yash will begin work by December 2023.

In a conversation with PTI, the spokesperson added that as part of KGF’s fifth anniversary on 21 December, they will announce the release plan for _KGF 3_. In addition, an initial round of discussion among the director, producer and actor for KGF 3 has already taken place. The storyline has been discussed. The shoot is set to begin in October 2024 and the film will be released in 2025. “An official announcement about the release of ‘KGF 3’ will be made in December this year,” the spokesperson added.

In 2022, Yash was asked about the announcement of KGF 3 at the India Today Conclave Mumbai. The Kannada superstar asked if they were ’expecting good news’ from him and jokingly added that he ‘already has two kids’. About the movie, he said that it would be released very soon.

He further stated that “I know there are many news stories floating around. When I say it, that’s when the project will be announced. Rest of the things, I don’t want anybody to believe in it. I will come and tell when it is out.”

Previous sequels

The first period action franchise was released with KGF: Chapter 1 in 2018. It was followed by KGF: Chapter 2, a 2022 sequel. Both parts created waves in Indian cinema and were blockbusters. Helmed by Prashanth Neel, the film’s plot revolved around Rocky starring Yash and his quest for power and wealth.

The film’s power-packed story ends with the character meeting a watery grave while taking all of his gold reserves out of the sea. The second part featured Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles. The sequel also saw Malavika Avinash, Prakash Raj, Eswari Rao, and Saran in supporting roles.

Work Front

The Hombale Films are working on three more films after KGF 3. They include Salaar 2 with Prabhas, Kantara 2 with Rishab Shetty and Tyson with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
