Jai Lava Kusa trailer: Jr NTR plays characters modelled on Rama, Lakshmana and Ravana in this action drama

Jr NTR’s upcoming film Jai Lava Kusa is one that fans are bound to look forward to, because of the three startlingly different characters he plays in it. In the three teasers released by the makers of this Telugu film, viewers were given a glimpse into his three avatars — the fierce Ravan bhakt Jai , the naive bank manager Lava , and the rugged thief Kusa . Youtube screengrab[/caption] In the recently released trailer, we finally see these three avatars interacting with each other. There is a shot of them playing together as brothers when they were kids, and the narrator reveals to us that they resemble Rama, Lakshmana and Ravana. Kusa seems to be the obvious anti-hero modeled on Ravana, while Jai and Lava, who are working together towards some hidden goal, are like Rama and Lakshman. The characters are identical triplets, and Jai and Lava seem to fear Kusa, who calls himself the ‘King of the Asuras’. Youtube screengrab[/caption]     Jai Lava Kusa marks the first time Jr NTR will be playing a triple role, and it also marks the debut of Ronit Roy in Telugu cinema. Roy will play the role of the antagonist. Apart from NTR, this film also stars Raashi Khanna, Nivetha Thomas, Posani Krishna Murali, Brahmaji, Sai Kumar, Pradeep Rawat, Jayprakash Reddy, Prabhas Sreenu, Praveen and Hamsa Nandini. The music album of the film, which has been produced by Devi Sri Prasad, received good reviews. It is composed almost entirely of songs dedicated to Ravana, save for one titled ‘Tring Tring’, which has a peppy mood. It was also speculated that Tamannaah Bhatia will star in one of the songs from the film. For one of his roles in this action drama, Jr NTR will be seen wearing prosthetic. Directed by KS Ravindra and produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Jai Lava Kusa is slated to release on 21 September. Watch the trailer here:
