Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal and Chhichhore fame is now making the biggest film of his career called Ramayan, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi. If recent reports were to be believed, ‘KGF’ fame Yash was likely to be paid Rs 150 crore for the project, which could make him the highest-paid villain in India. The news was reported by Hindustan Times a few months back.

And now, Zoom says the star is no longer a part of the ensemble and joined forces for the magnum opus as the co-producer. A source said, “Yash desisted the offer to play Ravana for a long time. He agreed finally only as a producer. Rather than accept a fee (of around 80 crore), he agreed to come on board as a producer.”

About  Ramayan

After proving his mettle in films like Animal and Brahmastra: Part 1 – Shiva, Ranbir Kapoor is all set to take on another challenge. He will be playing the character of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. With only a few days left for the shooting to commence, the makers are busy finalising the actor’s look for the character. If reports are to be believed, Ranbir recently underwent a look test for his portrayal of Lord Ram.

As per a report published by India Today, the makers recently held a photoshoot for Ranbir’s look test. A source told the portal that Nitesh wants Ranbir to maintain his lean avatar, instead of gaining muscles, for the role of Lord Ram. Sources further suggested that the Animal actor’s bare-bodied look wearing golden and gem-studded ornaments seemingly impressed everyone and has been finalised.
