Hina Khan takes a break from Kasautii Zindagii Kay to film her upcoming Bollywood debut

After becoming a household name as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and as a contestant on Bigg Boss 11, Hina Khan, who plays Komolika in  Kasautii Zindagii Kay , will soon make her Bollywood debut. According to a Times of India report, the untitled film will be directed by Hussain Khan from a script by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh. Kazmi also serves as the producer of the project. Screengrab from YouTube[/caption] The same report states that Hina will soon begin shooting for a film, in which she will play a responsible and independent girl. The story is set in Kashmir of the ’90s. Veteran actress Farida Jalal will play her grandmother. The actress confirmed the news of her debut to Times of India. “It’s a female-centric story. I also love the fact that it’s set in a time and place, where we are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, technology, daily rush and competition. I am also thrilled about challenging myself in a brand new medium,” she said. She also said that she is currently taking a break from the soap opera and will film the show after she finishes her film. Many television actresses have ventured into films this year, like Mouni Roy  with  Gold  and  Karishma Tanna  with  Sanju .
