Dunki, Salaar, Animal, Tiger 3, Ganapath & more: Rs 2500 crore riding on Bollywood in the last quarter of 2023

After a disappointing, Bollywood made a roaring comeback in 2023 & delivered several hits and all-time grossers at the box office. While Shah Rukh Khan ruled the year with Jawan & Pathaan, which cumulatively earned over Rs 2000 crore globally, the Hindi film industry garnered footfalls with successes like Gadar 2, The Kerala Story, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, OMG 2, Dream Girl 2 and many others. Well, the final quarter of the year has just started and looking at the line-up of the last three months, I can surely say that October, November and December will be a blockbuster phase for Bollywood. October

The October month will start with Akshay Kumar’s survival thriller _Mission Raniganj_ and Bhumi Pednekar’s Thank You For Coming. While both films are releasing on the same date, the target audiences for them are very different. However, the Khiladi Kumar starrer is expected to take a better opening as it caters to a larger group of audience. On October 20, we will see two pan-India movies - Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath & Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao locking horns at the box office. Both films are high on entertainment quotient and are expected to perform supremely well, especially the Vikas Bahl directorial since it has some breathtaking action sequences and high-octane stunts. The October month will end with Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas and Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail, which are expected to work on the merit of their content. November

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Honestly, there is one film which will rule this month and it is none other than Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi starrer _Tiger 3_ . The Maneesh Sharma directorial, which will release during the Diwali weekend, is expected to take a monstrous opening and shatter several records at the box office. Apart from Tiger 3, another movie, which has the potential to garner footfalls is Khichdi 2, which will arrive on 17 November. December

Well, undoubtedly December should be the biggest month of the year for Bollywood. It will start with Ranbir Kapoor’s _Animal_ , which is expected to take the box office by storm followed by Sidharth Malhotra’s Yodha which can turn out to be a sleeper hit. And during the Christmas weekend, the audience will enjoy the double treat in the form of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar. Both films are expected to set new benchmarks across the globe.
