Deepika Padukone on Ranbir Kapoor's absence from her wedding reception: I’m not surprised at all

Deepika Padukone, who recently got married to Ranveer Singh was asked about her ex boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s absence from her Mumbai wedding reception. But, that’s the relationship we share and that’s the beauty of that relationship; so much is said without saying much at all,” Pinkvilla quoted the actress as saying. Kapoor and Padukone dated for two years before splitting up in 2009. They have maintained a cordial relationship since and have also worked on films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha. According to News18, at the time of the reception, reports suggested that Kapoor and Bhatt’s busy schedule for their upcoming film Brahmastra did not allow them to attend the reception. Katrina Kaif , however, was present at  DeepVeer's star-studded reception . In an interview, the  _Zero_  actress said that when she received the invite, her instinct was to be a part of her colleagues’ celebrations. Padukone and Singh got married in two separate ceremonies — as per Konkani and Sindhi rituals — on 14 and 15 November in Italy’s picturesque Lake Como. Following their return to India, they hosted three wedding receptions, one in Padukone’s hometown Bengaluru and two in Mumbai for their colleagues and friends from the film fraternity.
