The Avengers: Endgame trailer was sure to create waves among fans. As most Marvel nerds still reeled from the effect of what might be the end of some of their favourite superheroes, the production house recently announced that the trailer had set a new record for most number of views in 24 hours.

Interestingly, the record for the highest views before Avengers: Endgame was set by the franchise’s third film Avengers: Infinity War. The total number of views were calculated after considering figures from multiple platforms which included ones like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. he production house thanked their loyal fans who have stood by the franchise since the first film till the journey to the Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame broke another unique record. The trailer also set a new record for Twitter conversation for a movie trailer in the first 24 hours. The film had 549,000 mentions on the platform. The new record beat figures of Avengers: Infinity War (389,000) and Black Panther (349,000).
Not just that, three hours into the release of the trailer, fans were being redirected to a website on Once Upon A Deadpool once they clicked on AvengersEndgame.com , reports The Hollywood Reporter. The domain was apparently ‘hijacked’ by a Twitter account with the handle @AGuyintChair. The owner claimed that they owned the domain and was ready to give it up in exchange of two premiere tickets to Avengers: Endgame. They also informed that Disney had not contacted them in regards to obtaining the domain. While this may well be a prank on Once Upon A Deadpool star Ryan Reynold’s part, the owner claimed they were not him, added the report.
Avengers: Endgame hits theatres on 26 April, 2019.
