After Bareilly Ki Barfi, Kriti Sanon to be seen in Raj and DK's upcoming thriller?

While Kriti Sanon's latest release with Sushant Singh Rajput Raabta tanked miserably at the box-office, she is all set to star in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's upcoming romcom Bareilly Ki Barfi co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao. Now, according to a DNA report, the actress will be seen in an upcoming thriller helmed by Raj and DK - short for Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru.

Sanon was earlier approached by the filmmakers for a film titled Farzi, but the plans fizzled out. The new project is the same script which has been modified to suit the present context. Whether the title, Farzi, will be retained or not, is still unknown. It is reported to be produced by Prernaa Arora of KriArj. It will be a thriller and apparently Sanon loved the script. She has an important and strong role, as well, in the film, reports DNA.

The makers of the film are looking for the male lead for the film which is scheduled to go on floors this year.

Raj and DK's A Gentleman, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez is slated to release on 25 August. The film features Malhotra in a double role. Sanon's upcoming Bareilly Ki Barfi, is a realistic take on relationships with a hint of humour and real, grounded settings. The film releases on 18 August.
