Gartner to Indian govt: Support small retailers go online, let disruptors flourish

Praveen Sengar, principal research analyst, Gartner, sees Flipkart as a positive story as it built awareness on digital commerce in India. In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Sengar discussed about the huge fuss happening over the discounts and pricing in this sector, and said instead of dictating the pricing, the Indian government should support small dealers and retailers go online. He added, “The government should allow disruptors like Flipkart to continue and let the market decide the pricing.”
