Kirloskar Ferrous Industries, a part of the Kirloskar Group, recently went live on the Oracle e-Business Suite within a short span of 108 days. The implementation was completed by Hexaware Technologies, a Certified Partner of the Oracle PartnerNetwork. Kirloskar Ferrous chose Oracle Applications over competing products as they found Oracle Applications best suited to address their industry-specific needs. The adoption of Oracle Applications by Kirloskar Ferrous India further enhances Oracle’s penetration in the manufacturing industry in India.
Kirloskar Ferrous Industries is a player in the castings and pig iron markets, with production facilities at Bevinhalli village near Hospet and in Solapur. The company will use Oracle Applications to streamline operations across both its production facilities. The company has implemented key modules from the Oracle e-Business Suite - including Financials, Manufacturing, Distribution and Human Resources - to meet its system and data integration needs across its various departments.
“The implementation of Oracle Applications is a strategic initiative to streamline our existing operations across different locations. This provides an integrated view of information across the various departments to help our decision-making process,” said R V Gumaste, managing director, Kirloskar Ferrous.
“The manufacturing sector in India is undergoing rapid transformation as Indian manufacturers cater to the increased demand from both the domestic and international markets,” said Nitin Paranjape, director, Commercial Applications Sales, Oracle India. “We are happy to partner with Kirloskar Ferrous on their growth path.”
Another group company, Kirloskar Oil Engines, is a long-standing Oracle Applications customer.
