Irevna Research Hires Blue Coat SG Appliances

Virtual Netcomm, value added distributor of Blue Coat Systems, the provider of secure content and application delivery, announced that Irevna Research Services, an offshore market research firm and subsidiary of McGraw Hill based in India, has selected Blue Coat SG appliances to protect users and control Internet applications. The appliances protect the company’s resources from direct contact with the Internet and help prevent the introduction of viruses, spyware and other malware.

Blue Coat SG appliances provide granular control over the use of streaming media, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing, instant messaging (IM) and general Web surfing. The appliances also provide protection and control of SSL encrypted traffic.

Blue Coat SG appliances help protect Irevna Research Services by inspecting its Internet traffic and applying controls based on the company’s policies. Using Blue Coat’s unique SSL proxy, Irevna Research can even gain visibility into SSL encrypted traffic between internal users and external sites.
