Global DataCenter Management (GDCM), a provider of Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions, has announced that its nlyte management solution has achieved technical validation from BMC Software for use with the BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite. This validation integrates GDCM’s nlyte data centre management solution with BMC Remedy, the Business Service Management (BSM) solution.
GDCM’s nlyte data centre management solution enables users to initiate and monitor routine equipment MAC (Move, Add, Change) processes within the BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) Suite. BMC Software customers now have the ability to select an asset in the data centre from the BMC Remedy ITSM Suite, start a workflow process in nlyte to initiate a MAC process, and monitor the task until it is finally flagged as complete.
“The GDCM integration to BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite allows customers to realise new efficiencies and better allocate resources to support strategy,” said Krishna Prasad, BMC Software’s general manager for Service Support Software. “GDCM brings expertise in managing the physical data centre infrastructure, providing increased functionality and value to our mutual customers.”
GDCM nlyte for BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite requires BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite 7.1.x or later and is available for nlyte installations of version 5.x or later. GDCM nlyte is available today for joint GDCM and BMC Software customers. For more information, please visit http://developer.bmc.com/communities/docs/DOC-5475
