Porsche launched the second generation Panamera globally last year, and while it is planning to launch more variants , the Turbo and Executive Turbo versions are expected to launch in India this year. According to Autocar India, the new Panamera will be announced for the Indian market in the month of March.

The four-door sedan will initially be only launched in the Turbo variant which is powered by a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that produces 550bhp and 770Nm. This makes the sedan go from 0-100kph in just 4.2 seconds. This will be followed by the Panamera Executive Turbo at a later stage. This variant is a stretched version of the Panamera and having a 150mm longer wheelbase for more space for the passengers at the back. It will also feature a panorama roof, heated electronically-adjustable front and rear seats and adaptive air suspension with an electronically controlled damper system.

According to reports the diesel models will feature a new 3.0-litre V6 as well as a 4.0-litre V8 that can churn 442hp and 850Nm.

Porsche launched its new SUV in India, the Macan R4 back in November priced at Rs 76.84 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra) and is expected to bring in the new 718 Boxster and Cayman before launching the Panamera.
