He outlined initial steps toward peace, including the release of prisoners and a truce in the sky and truce in the sea, if Russia will do the same.
“We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same,” he said.
He said Ukraine wants to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree on a strong final deal.

Tensions escalated last week during a clash between Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, where Trump warned Zelenskyy he “won’t be around very long” without a ceasefire.
In response, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen unveiled a plan to mobilise €800 billion ($840 billion) for defence, aiming to significantly bolster support for Ukraine with immediate military equipment.
