Rattled by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s stance on Taiwan, Chinese state media have urged President Xi Jinping to drop nuclear bombs on Japan.

China has deployed an all-hands-on-deck approach to undermine Takaichi after she said that Chinese threats to Taiwan also posed a threat to Japan and could involve a Japanese military response. A Chinese diplomat, Xue Jian, threatened to get her head chopped off.

“That filthy neck that barged in on its own, I’ve got no choice to cut it off without a moment’s hesitation. Are you prepared for that?” said Xue Jian, the Chinese
Consul-General in Japan’s Osaka.

But Gunacha, a website controlled by the Communist Party of China (CPC), went further to call for dropping nuclear bombs on the country to render it deindustrialised and demilitarised for decades.

72 bombs to take out Japan

It would take 72 nuclear bombs to destroy Japan, according to Gunacha.

In a report published last week, the outlet said that the PLA Rocket Force fielded three brigades of intermediate-range missiles, each with a 200-kiloton warhead, according to Washington Times.

The publication had a graphic showing the ring of destruction caused by a 200-kiloton warhead exploding in the center of Tokyo. A caption said the blast could kill 500,000 people and injure over 1 million.

The report outlined three ways —military, industrial, and infrastructure— that Xi could attack Japan.

As per the plan, the first wave’s military targets would include the Defense Ministry headquarters, as well as airports and naval ports, including the US Yokota Air Base near Tokyo. At least six other military bases would be targeted.

The report did not identify missiles but photographs showed DF-21 missiles that can be armed with nuclear as well as conventional warheads.

In the second waves, Chinese nuclear strikes would hit industrial targets to destroy Japan’s military capabilities, such as facilities of Toyota, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Nissan, Toshiba, East Japan Steel, Nippon Steel, and electronics factories of Sony and Panasonic. The report said the wave would use 32 warheads.

In the third phase, China would use 20 warheads to strike ports, nuclear power plants, oil refineries, and dams, according to the report.

“Once those 72 nuclear warheads are deployed, Japan can be completely deindustrialised and demilitarised and will be barred from any ambitions for decades to come. As for the resulting humanitarian disaster and abnormal population decline, one can only say that the Japanese people’s understanding is commensurate with their suffering,” the report concluded.
