Bahrain Interior Ministry issued a public alert urging people to move to safety after sirens were activated.

“The siren has been sounded. Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place,” the ministry said in a post on X.

Gulf countries have raised concerns over possible attacks by Iran-backed militias, warning such actions could destabilise the region and further escalate the conflict. Thailand has reached an agreement with Iran to allow its oil vessels safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, the Southeast Asian nation’s Prime Minister said on Saturday.

“An agreement has been reached to allow Thai oil tankers to transit safely through the Strait of Hormuz,” Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said at a press conference, adding the development would alleviate concerns over fuel imports.

Earlier reports said Iran-linked hackers, identifying themselves as the Handala Hack Team, had released dozens of emails and photographs allegedly taken from a personal inbox belonging to Kash Patel.

An FBI spokesperson, Ben Williamson, has since confirmed the breach, stating: “we have taken all necessary steps to mitigate potential risks associated with this activity”.

Williamson added that the compromised material was “historical in nature and involves no government information”.

The US state of Washington has filed a lawsuit against Kalshi, a crypto-based platform that allows users to bet on the outcome of future events.

Attorney General Nick Brown said on X that while the platform “tries to deceive governments and consumers by calling itself a ‘prediction market’”, it is effectively a form of online gambling.

Kalshi describes itself as a peer-to-peer trading platform where users place trades based on the likelihood of events, such as election outcomes or sports results.

Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported that US-Israeli forces attacked the Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran during strikes in the early hours of Saturday.

Reuters said the latest casualties add to the more than 300 US military service members who have ⁠been wounded since the ⁠war on Iran started four weeks ago.

Earlier ⁠on Friday, the US ⁠military said 273 of ⁠the 300 wounded service members had returned to duty.

Thirteen US troops ‌have been killed in the conflict so far, Reuters said.

Speaking in Miami, US President Donald Trump said that ongoing US attacks are “crushing Iran currently, as we speak”.

“They’re being hit so harsh anybody would be negotiating,” said Trump, who has repeatedly asserted in recent days that Iran is engaged in negotiations.

He further alleged that Iranian officials denying participation in talks were not telling the truth, though he did not specify which officials the US has been in contact with.

“Remember this, they lied,” he said. “They’re begging to make a deal. Turned out I was right. They were negotiating.”

Trump also claimed that Iran had offered to send oil shipments as compensation for misleading statements about negotiations.

Iranian authorities, however, have denied that any talks with the US are currently underway.
