Chhattisgarh naxal attack: What's the point of a NIA probe?

The lapses that led to the Chhattisgarh attack are gaping, and the fact is that the security system in the area has been dysfunctional and continues to be so. So what will a NIA probe achieve? It’s not like the perpetrators of this crime are unknown or the lapses are not clear.
