Making travel insurance mandatory is foolish

Maharashtra government’s proposal to make travel insurance mandatory for people travelling outside Maharashtra is not going to work. The fine print of travel insurance is enough to dupe a lot of people and making it mandatory is a foolhardy decision. At the end, it looks like a win win situation for insurance companies who are likely to benefit the most from this move.
