Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has launched the latest smartphone in the US market, ZTE Max XL . The smartphone comes with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box which is rare for smartphone makers. ZTE has added a 6-inch FHD IPS panel display to the smartphone which is protected by Gorilla Glass.

ZTE has priced the smartphone at $129.99 which amounts to Rs 8,350 at the time of writing. It is available on Boost Mobile for $101.00 with $28 as promotional discount which amounts to about Rs 6,500 at the time of writing.

The smartphone is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 clocked at 1.4 GHz, the latest in the 400 series by the chip-maker along with 2 GB RAM as reported by Android Police . It packs 16 GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot to increase the storage capacity to 128 GB. The company has packed a 3,990 mAh battery in the smartphone along with a fingerprint scanner at the back.

Max XL comes with a 13 MP camera module on the back along with a 5 MP camera module on the front for selfies.

The company has added Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Hotspot, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth v4.0, USB 2.0 Type-C port, and LTE-enabled SIM slot as connectivity options for the smartphone.

ZTE has not released any official statement about the India launch of the device.
