What’s new in the MIUI 10
There will be no more physical home buttons in future Xiaomi phones. Gesture controls for navigation have also been introduced owing to the full-screen phones that are coming out. The notifications, weather app, calendar app and recent view sections have also been changed. MIUI 10 will also introduce the AI-powered Bokeh mode photos for the camera app in even those devices which have a single lens camera.

The Redmi Y2 will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo overlayed with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 9.5. There will also be a new feature called as smart photo editing. The phone also has a Face unlock feature. The Y2 will come with the Snapdragon 625 SoC making the phone at least 37 percent faster than the Redmi Y1.

On the back, the Redmi Y2 has a 12 MP + 5 MP dual camera setup. Manu explains that the Redmi Y2’s primary sensor has a bigger 1.25 micronpixel sensor giving the phone good low light and portrait photos capabilities.
