After the Mi A2 , Redmi Note 5 Pro , and the Y2 smartphone, the latest Xiaomi smartphone that has received a price cut is the Redmi 6 Pro. As part of Xiaomi’s ongoing #High5 campaign on Twitter, Redmi India announced that the Redmi 6 Pro will now be available at a discount of up to Rs 1,500.

This means, Redmi 6 Pro’s 3 GB RAM variant is now priced at Rs 9,999, and the 4 GB RAM variant’s price has been reduced to Rs 11,999. Earlier, the lower variant costed Rs 11,499, while the 4 GB model was tagged at Rs 13,499.

Redmi 6 Pro specifications and features
The Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 ration and also a notch. The notch can be hidden, for those who do not like it. A fingerprint sensor sits at the rear. Running the smartphone is MIUI 9.6 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It will soon get an upgrade to the MIUI 10.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset.
In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup at the back, which is a combination of a 12 MP and 5 MP sensors with AI capabilities. Up front, is a 5 MP sensor.
