Xiaomi’s latest budget smartphone - the Redmi 4A is going on its first sale today, 23 March, at 12PM on Amazon.in and Mi.com. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is priced at Rs 5,999 and comes with many offers alongside the sale.
For starters, if you have an IndusInd Bank credit or debit card, then you are eligible for a 10 percent cash back offer.
Xiaomi has tied up with Idea Cellular which will give the Redmi 4A buyers 28GB of 4G data and unlimited calling facility for 28 days from recharge. Users will have to recharge with Rs 343, which makes them eligible for 1GB free data per day, unlimited voice calling up to 300 mins/day, 3000 local and national SMSes. The offer is valid only on active Idea Prepaid connections when used in India and the validity period is from 30 March to 30 June 2017.

According to Idea Cellular, “Existing Idea customers can avail of the offer on recharging with the special denominations (Rs 343) exclusively created for Redmi 4A customers. Non Idea subscribers can also avail a new Idea connection to enjoy this special benefit. In case of New Idea Connection; after any circle First recharge, Subscriber recharge their Idea mobile number with Rs.343 to avail the special Benefits.” Do note that these data benefits will not be carried forward after 28 days.
Amazon Kindle has also tied up for the sales promotion of Redmi 4A. After downloading and signing in to Kindle app, you will get Rs 200 worth of promotion credit to buy Kindle books. This offer will only be valid to the first 100,000 customers and the credit must be redeemed within 90 days of claiming the offer.
The smartphone features a 5-inch IPS LCD screen with 1280×720 pixels display resolution. Running on Android Marshmallow OS with MIUI, the Redmi 4A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset with a quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 308 GPU. There is 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of on board memory with a memory card slot for storage expansion of up to 128GB.
The primary camera is a 13 MP, f/2.2 aperture unit, while a 5 MP shooter is incharge of selfie duties on the front. The non-removable battery has a capacity of 3,120 mAh, and the device has support for dual SIM cards. The handset supports 4G networks and is VoLTE capable.
