An Android code review website has hinted that Google is working on three Google Pixel devices for this year. This could mean that the company has added a third form factor to the Pixel line-up. The code further hinted that all the three smartphones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, which does not come as any surprise.

The commit message on an Android review website mentioned devices with code names ‘marlin’, ‘ muskie ’, ‘ taimen ’, ‘walleye’, and ‘sailfish’. ‘Sailfish’ refers to Google Pixel while ‘marlin’ refers to Pixel XL. As for the other three code names, this is not the first time that we are hearing about them. ‘muskie’ will be the follow-up for ‘sailfish’ while ‘walleye’ will be the follow-up for ‘marlin’, as reported by GSMArena . ‘Taimen’ is the third device that the company is planning to launch alongside the Pixel 2017 and Pixel XL 2017.

The company has not issued any official statement about the devices and it could not be confirmed if ‘Taimen’ would be a smartphone or a Pixel tablet (not the Pixel C). We can expect these Pixel devices to run Android O out of the box, like the Pixel and Pixel XL were the first to be running Android Nougat 7.1.
