Sony India has announced the launch of its high-zoom lens equipped Cyber-shot HX350 digital camera which will retail at Rs 28,990. Thanks to its long range lens, Sony says that the camera is suitable for landscapes as well as portraits.
The camera is said to be suitable for photography enthusiasts who want to upgrade from their smartphone camera. The compact camera comes with a fixed Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens. The lens offers a 24mm-1,200mm focal length (35mm equivalent). On top of that the Clear Image Zoom feature doubles the maximum magnification to a 100x.

Sony has used a 20.4MP Back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processing engine for improved image processing. To handle shakes and blurs, it comes with Optical SteadyShot feature that cuts handheld shakes and with the Intelligent Active Mode users can record Full HD videos equally sharp and blur-free quality with Sony’s proprietary frame analysis technology.
The camera is suitable for video shooting as it features a manual ring for smooth adjustment of zoom and focus, an easily-accessible mode dial, all the exposure options and support for 24p shooting mode. At the back there is a manually tiltable 3-inch LCD display along with a high-contrast electronic viewfinder.
The HX350 will be available from all Sony retail stores from today and will also be available exclusively on Amazon.in.
