Chinese smartphone maker Oppo launched its latest mid-range device, Oppo R11, last week. The smartphone is available for sale on JD.com. According to the counter on JD.com and a report by GSMArena the pre-sale registrations have crosses 5,80,000 registrations at the time of writing. The pre-sale registration is nothing out of the ordinary for Chinese manufacturers as it gives them an estimate of the demand for the smartphone and they can ramp up production as well as server capacity accordingly.
R11 is the first phone to come with the newly-announced Snapdragon 660 processor. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor comes with eight cores and is clocked at 2.2 GHz. The other highlight of the phone is the dual-camera system at the back which sits along with an LED flash at the top-left corner of the back. The cameras feature a 16 MP wide-angle lens and a 20 MP telephoto lens using Sony’s IMX398 sensor, offering 2x optical zoom powered by the Qualcomm Spectra Image Sensor Processor, which present on the Snapdragon 660.
In addition to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, the R11 features include a 5.5-inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a pixel density of 401 PPI. The processor is paired with 4 GB of RAM and the internal storage is set at 64 GB. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1 Nougat with Color OS on top. JD.com has listed three R11 variants in three colours which include from Rose Gold, Black and Champagne Gold.
The e-commerce giant from China has scheduled the first flash sale for 10 AM on 16 June 2017 at a price of CNY 2,999 or $441.
